I’m working on a tool for preparing DJ set recordings offstage. Live performance is outside the tool’s intended use. The goal is to make it easier to finish mixes for yourself, for YouTube or SoundCloud, or for an event promoter, without setting up your gear and playing the whole set in one take every time.
There are no preset mixing styles. To get a draft in your style, you first have to show the app how you mix. It learns your timing, blends, and EQ solely from the mixes you do inside the app, using a mouse and keyboard or a controller.
For a new set, you pick the tracks and their order. The app uses what you taught it to make a draft recording. You listen, adjust any transitions you want, and export the audio and a timestamped tracklist. All of this happens on your computer. Your tracks, teaching examples, and personal model stay there.
